Mike Rockow Announces Campaign for Re-Election

Friday, July 22nd, 2011

Monroe County Legislator Mike Rockow today announced his candidacy for re-election to the 2nd District.  Mike was first elected to the Legislature in November of 2009.  Since that time, Mike has shown immense leadership and has brought a unique perspective to the Monroe County Legislature.

“I am proud to announce that I am seeking re-election to the Monroe County Legislature because I want to continue fighting for Clarkson, Hamlin and Sweden taxpayers,” said Rockow. “I am proud to have partnered with County Executive Maggie Brooks to deliver stable property taxes and solid job creation and retention efforts that are moving our economy in the right direction.  With the support of my family, friends, neighbors and fellow residents in the Towns of Clarkson, Hamlin and Sweden, I will continue fighting to protect local taxpayers.”

In announcing the launch of his re-election campaign, Rockow outlined his deep roots in the 2nd Legislative District. Born and raised in Hamlin, Mike has grown up in the 2nd Legislative District, where he has also chosen to raise his family. He continues to fight for the residents of Clarkson, Hamlin and Sweden in the County Legislature.

Over the course of the past two years as a County Legislator and as a lifelong resident of the 2nd Legislative District, I have met many community members and listened to their concerns about our challenging economy. With the support of Clarkson, Hamlin and Sweden voters, I will continue my goal of always putting taxpayers first,” said Rockow

Rockow also announced the launch of mikerockow.com, a state-of-the art new website that will serve as the online hub for his campaign. The new platform features the latest in online connectivity, including full social media integration. Residents are encouraged to visit the site to learn more about Rockow’s experience, to volunteer to help the campaign, or to make a donation.
